Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Dupree Innovations is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard, though we strive for full compliance.

Federal Compliance (Section 508)

As a federal contractor, we are dedicated to complying with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended (29 U.S.C. § 794d). We ensure that our information and communication technology (ICT) is accessible to federal employees and members of the public with disabilities.

Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following features to ensure our website is accessible:

  • Semantic HTML: We use proper heading structures and semantic elements to support screen readers.
  • Keyboard Navigation: Our site is navigable using a keyboard, with visible focus indicators for interactive elements.
  • Color Contrast: We maintain high contrast ratios between text and background colors to aid readability.
  • Alt Text: Images include descriptive alternative text for users who cannot see them.
  • Responsive Design: The site adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels without loss of functionality.
